The Every Roof Challenge

Sunny side up…
The Every Roof Challenge is on! Our dream is a community that powers itself, with solar panels on every appropriate roof.
Think of it as a team effort: the more houses that join in, the more local, clean energy we generate for everyone.
And now council-backed, low-interest loans are making the switch to solar more accessible — most people find their energy savings are bigger than their monthly loan repayments.
So, let’s see just how many roofs we can power up together and make our community a shining example of sustainability.
We’ve even created a map to start quantifying just how much power we’re making! So, are you in?
How can I make solar panels work for me?
Solar Potential
We’d start with Solar Wizard, a nifty website that tells you your solar power potential. You only need to input your address for results and info on savings vs costs!
Good Energy
Solar Together have group-buying options, or check out our members-made list of trusted installers. You could even visit a member and see their panels in action.
Panel Up
Need finance? low-interest loans (like Lendology) Could mean your energy bill saving is greater than your monthly loan repayment. Got panels? Join our map!

Together we can be a solar powerhouse
Once your solar panels are up and running, we’ll add you to our Every Roof Map – so we can all visualise the accumulation of clean, green, solar energy being created in our local area.
Already using solar power at home? Great! Let us know so we can add you too! Join the challenge by submitting your details using the form beneath the map and help build a visual network of homes making their own energy.
As more panels are logged we’ll be able to start calculating just how much energy we’re making locally – and how many homes that could be powering.
